No matter what we look like or where we come from, Michiganders believe our voting rights should be respected and we all should have a voice in our democracy.
After we passed historic expansion of voting freedoms, Michiganders turned out in record numbers to vote in 2020 in one of the state’s most secure elections in history.
But now we are facing serious threats to our voting rights. There are bills in the legislature and talks of ballot initiatives that would roll back our freedoms and specifically target Black, brown, low-income and rural voters.
Just like we have before, Michiganders will stand together, across race, gender and zip code to protect our voting rights, improve our elections in Michigan and ensure it’s the people who decide the direction of this state.
